this project involved a speculative housing scheme within a conservation area on an existing industrial site in the market town of bishops stortford. the key elements of the client brief were to maximise the commercial opportunities and to highlight the prominant views across the canal. conrad's considered design, although contemporary, was sympathetic in scale and siting to the surrounding buildings and brought a positive new intervention to the conservation area.
